Day 91

Nice little photoshoot, on a nice little Saturday.

Easter is a week away and I couldn't be more excited to watch Quincy hunt for eggs this year!

Day 90

I LOVE FRIDAYS!

My company closes at 3pm which means 

I have 4 glorious hours with Quincy 

before she goes to sleep.

Quincy was thrilled when I showed up at her school

 to pick her up- the feeling was mutual.

We met two of our faves, Michelle and Vida (Shesha, as Q calls her), at Central Market for a much needed mommy/baby play-date. They have been in Miami for two weeks and Quincy says "Shesha Miami" daily.

She really missed her friend.

Michelle and I caught up while the girls played and then we all enjoyed some fruit and a beer (mom's only, obviously). 

When we got home there was still time to cuddle on the couch while watching Tangled, Quincy's favorite movie, and then eat dinner as a family.

Like I said- I LOVE FRIDAYS!

Today was my first day at my new job! 

I missed Quincy like crazy and couldn't wait to pick her up.

but even more excited to ride in her new "big girl" car seat.

The 74th Annual Hunger Games!

A group of us went to the midnight showing of the
Hunger Games at the Alamo Drafthouse last night.
I got a picture with Effie Trinket,
ate Prim's basil wrapped goat cheese,
and enjoyed the movie!
I cannot lie- I was a bit disappointed.
Obviously, the book is 100 times better. 

Day 81

Today, Quincy had a dentist appointment to make sure her tooth is healing properly since the incident at school 2 months ago. She did a fabulous job and acted like such a big girl. Dr. Thiel said everything looks great and the tooth will most likely be fine. We go back in September for another check up and Quincy's first teeth cleaning! I am so pleased with her dentist and his staff. They are awesome.

Some of Quincy's favorite foods at 21 months:

grapes, turkey dogs, berries, feta cheese, rice, 

hummus and crackers,

sweet potato fries (dipped in mustard and ketchup)

and quesadillas.

She likes most fruit, but we are still working on veggies.

lots of rain and two little ones who desperately want to play outside.

On this rainy afternoon in Austin, Quincy and I ventured out to the mall to get her a few things- She must have had a growth spurt recently. Since her teacher regularly gives me a hard time about her shoes always falling off on the playground, we decided it was time for some high-tops and she LOVES them. We got her feet measured and she is now wearing a size FIVE! :( 

She has been wearing her "boots" all day and even insisted on wearing them out of the store.

Although, I don't believe in everything in this article- 

For instance, I don't intend to feed Quincy fast food or bribe her with candy. 

AND she always has her hair brushed :) - 

I only have one child and I realize that my way isn't the only way.
